Right after the app was opened for the first time—before I could even see anything—I was asked for permission to discover nearby Bluetooth devices. This is not something I want to see when I’m still deciding whether I trust the app enough to grant such permissions. 👎🏻

Finally, the proper first screen. This is how the entire onboarding process should begin.

“Hide My Email” with iCloud+ doesn’t work. Disappointing to see in late 2025. 👎🏻

Alright. I typed in my email. Now I have to manually enter a password because the field has the wrong attribute and the system password feature doesn’t appear. Cool—but now it turns out that “(” isn’t considered a valid symbol by the Hume Health app.

On this screen, I should be focused on confirming my email address, but instead a black overlay appears and a system prompt for push notifications is shown in the foreground. I’m willing to bet that most users won’t understand the difference between confirming their email address and allowing push notifications.

Analysis by Wojciech Olszewski

I work with mobile apps, focusing on marketing, monetization, and product decisions. I'm interested in how things work in practice — not just how they're described in best practices. Through InApp.Center, I share observations and analyses based on real app experience.
